Game time

• Coin Toss will have 4 Team Captains meeting with the officials on the 50 yard line. Choosing to Kick, or Return.

•  8 man High school rules will be used by the officials. An RWO modification is No Kick Off, Kick Return. It is placing the ball on the 40 yard line as again there’s no KO, KR.

As normal Offense has 4 for downs to gain a first down. 10 yard chains will be on the away sideline. The RWO field length is normal 120 yards long x 53 yards wide, high school field dimensions.

  • Officials and RWO met and agreed on certain language to receive a penalty flag. N & B words have occasionally caused fighting, so the officials will throw a flag. Two unsportsmanlike conducts in a game is an injection. If a player throws a punch he’s suspended for 2 games. Let’s keep it football.

A portable scoreboard will keep the score of the game. The officials will have the clock on the field. 4 quarters and each quarter is 12 minutes. The officials are also using the 25 & 40 second play clock with 10 second notification. There’s 4 officials at each game. RWO does ask for 2 footballs to be on the sideline with their ball person, so the game can go smoothly. Football’s have to be College or NFL. (No youth size).

After a successful Touchdown. There’s no kicking for an extra point attempt. RWO modified, 3 yard line is either a 2 point attempt on the 3 yard line or 3 point attempt on the 8 yard line. Yes, RWO modified the special teams, but not the Punting portion. If you choose to punt on 4th down or fake punt that’s part of the strategy of the game.

8 man football Offensively has 5 players on the line of scrimmage ( los ) and 3 off the line of scrimmage. There’s up to 5 possible receivers cause the quarterback is a possible receiver if the ball is thrown behind to a halfback or receiver to throw the ball (Philly special). Normally 3 offensive linemen in a Guard Center Guard spot or Tackle Guard Center spot. An offense linemen on the line can be an eligible receiver in an overload formation plus have to have no receiver on the line outside of him. Be sure to check a formation before playing the game. High school football rules apply. Orbit and Jet sweep allowed but we are using high school rules.
